That is probably the most callous comment Iāve seen since leaving the JW in response to comments about you calling out the fact that you are supporting an evil organization, children losing their innocence to child predators enabled by the JW org and families being torn apart. You truly prove you donāt care about anyone but yourself and youāre just an elder that doesnāt want to lose his position of power but still wants to profit from āthis worldā, just like most elders I have known in my past - Pharisees.- There are so many bad things in this world and everyone wants to pin the blame somewhere.
Satan is convenient if you believe that. Iām agnostic which means it may be true or it may not be.
You win some you lose some.
Trust me, your friends arenāt true friends, even your wife may not truly love you more than she does them. In āthe worldā you can have true friends when there is no demands that keep you together.

I was going to write a new topic ... but now I just can't be bothered
by no-zombie ini was going to write a new topic but now i just can't be bothered ... and i'll tell you why.. on my facebook feed a few days ago, i saw an interview of a couple of onlyfans girls, who said that they were active christians that attended church weekly.
and while i was going to spend some time writing about the virtues of our faith's strict moral standards ... i now understand that i'd only be flamed as a watchtower apologist.. that being said, out of the approximately 4 million onlyfan girls out there ... it obvious, that none are jehovah's witnesses..

I donāt agree that morals are subjective, that would mean we should accept the fact JW org breeds immorality.
I wouldnāt want my daughters to do OnlyFans, it may bring in a lot of money now, but eventually your beauty and fame runs out and that happens rather quickly. And then you have to live with the consequences, paid security or looking over your shoulder for the rest of your life if youāve been somewhat famous isnāt cheap. If you do engage in prostitution with some of your highest paying members, who will want to have a stable relationship and kids with you later.
Most people have a rather objective sense of morality, wasting your life for short gains isnāt worth it.

It seems like this attorney wants to do a federal child trafficking case just from reading the description. Thanks to the movie Sound of Freedom and the Trump Administration focus on protecting children from human trafficking, the government is much more sensitive to these cases today.
Unlike what the name seems to imply to the lay person, child trafficking at the federal level does not require you to kidnap and move the child. Merely offering something in exchange for sexual activity is sufficient to be considered commercial sex trafficking which carries a minimum of 15 years.
I donāt think this legal theory has been tested yet against an organization, but it is interesting as the JW org does often collaborate with elders on facilitating what may amount to child trafficking.
The attorney seems to be in Florida though.

@ElderBerry: the organization has NOT changed. You are peddling lies, whether or not you believe them. Had you read any posts of others on this forum, you know we and our children are still affected by JW doctrine and abuse today. Disfellowshipping and shunning is still in effect. Blood doctrine is still in effect. Shunning unbelieving family members is still in effect. Being thought that non-JW will die at Armageddon in cruel ways is still in effect. Two witness rule in regard to child abuse is still in effect. And those teachings have a real effect, especially on young people.
I have a 14 year old child, family and others that are still stuck. Nothing truly has changed. You may believe that you are getting away with something, you will at some point see that you are misleading yourself. What has changed is some of the rhetoric, but it has only become more insidious. You canāt call it a disfellowshipping because legal work performed by yours truly and many of our friends, we have over the past 15 years exposed the organization, started lawsuits in both the US and Europe, my mother testified in at least one, so now you call it something else, but the results remain the same.
You keep ignoring the question though because you know you are in the wrong and deceitful to yourself and your congregation. You are a Pharisee, laying heavy burdens on those that serve you while not lifting even a finger.
James 4:17 tells us, āIf anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesnāt do it, it is sin for them.ā
If you are so sure that what you do is acceptable, then pronounce it to your so-called friends. You are an elder, go to the media and on behalf of your organization apologize for the suicides. Apologize for the child molesters and turn over the documents in your congregation that you have been obligated to keep.
And you know you canāt do that because your so-called friends will shun you. Your family will even shun you. If you are so sure, prove me wrong.

And I can go on, just click through my history, the abuse in the name of and on behalf of the organization continues until today. If you donāt believe it, as my post above, why stay?

@ElderBerry: I twice didnāt critique you on the belief system but the actions of the organization, yet you continue to support them or ignore the truth.
Why, if what you say is true, do you not take your congregation āprivateā and denounce the actions of the JW āHeavyā organization and its members. A schism is long overdue.

@elderberry: at this point you know what is right and wrong in the organization. What you believe and whether it is correct is irrelevant, you know the flaws in the organization yet you continue to support them in your position.
The GB through certain teachings are responsible for systematic child abuse, mental abuse and self-enrichment. Doesnāt that make you responsible as elder that teaches and (at least pretends to) supports this, regardless of personal beliefs, in the eyes of God, morality and the law? Like a soldier that knows his orders are against the rules of war and still executes them, said soldier is held responsible.
JW Lite is the worst kind of JW because you know it is wrong yet you are too cowardly to stand up for yourself and your fellow people, especially the children.
If you and your friends truly believe the GB is fallible and has strayed, declare your congregation independent from the organization and claw back your rights, dignity and property.

The fact you think that any religion has similarities to JW when it comes to activity and expectations indicates you clearly have no clue how real religious groups function.
JW is a high control cult, the fact you think youāre getting away with something just indicates you know that what youāre doing isnāt normal. What will happen when a CO finds out and threatens your little gang of elders with removal, you will try to clean up your act, at least one or two of you will become traitors to your friends and you will become just like every other elder or you may be labeled an apostate, and people, including your family will reject you.
Can you claim independence from the organization on anything, from how to operate the building to doctrinal matters? Can you have female elders or just a female or a visiting pastor giving a sermon? Because all those things happen in ārealā religions.
Can you go back into the office and review your red folders? Can you publish those who were suspected of child abuse and report them to the authorities without going through the organization? In any congregation there are statistically at least 2 active pedophiles, if your congregation has existed for any number of years you should have several recorded.
Can you go to the media and apologize on behalf of JW for the heartache and the suicides your congregation previously caused?
Will you say from the pulpit the GB could be wrong and they are not infallible and you disagree with them on some things!? Can you critique the GB, criticize the disfellowshipping system, because that is what I did when I gained my position and guess what happenedā¦
